“Checking Out”
Yesterday night, I decided that I needed to be free from technology again. So what I did was to walk around the unchartered (undeveloped) part of irvine with just my keys; no wallet, no phone. I felt that i needed to do some more soul searching just to make sure that everything that I’m doing is for the right reasons. As with all journeys, I found some answers, formed new questions, and as always left some unanswered. I think that postulating about the future is something to look forward to, but I got to admit, I’m no soothsayer or anything, I’m just a person surrounded by people from different walks of life. Even if I can spend my time with the people I have met, I never forget where it all started.
I think the one thing I learned aside from that is not to take a walk in that area. Wild animals lurking around isn’t really that safe. x] However, i enjoyed the times without the bind to technology again. It’s fun to break free and roam through your thoughts. Away from the social constructs of society, away from the technological realm of socialization, away from the aegis defenses created through the years.
Lastly, the Fenix is back and I intend to maintain that (at least for now). You can leave the past, but never forget it. Let’s turn back the clock.
